Washington Marion High School Students Win Second Place in Video Contest
Altice’s Suddenlink employees visited Washington Marion High School in Lake Charles, LA to celebrate students in Tamika Randle’s media class for their award winning video essay titled “Imagine Magazine”. The class, comprised of students in 9th through 11th grade, won second prize in the “Imagine a World Without” Black History Month contest that was sponsored by Altice Connects and TVOne. The contest asked students to work together as a class to produce a video that highlights the accomplishments of African Americans. After congratulatory remarks from Altice Connects, Ms. Randle’s class was presented with their prize, a $750 grant. Lake Charles Mayor Randy Roach and Parish Police Jury President Kevin Guidry also attended the event to congratulate the students and spoke about the importance of recognizing the contributions of influential African Americans.
