Altice Connects and Suddenlink joined The History Channel to honor our veterans at Williams Elementary School in Georgetown, TX. The Take a Veteran to School Day event honored hometown heroes with a special assembly for the students and community members. In attendance were District 20 Representative-Elect Colonel Terry Wilson, and veteran guests who have served both in WWII and in Iraq/Afghanistan. The program included a formal program including performances of the “Star-Spangled Banner,” “Stars and Stripes Forever” and the reading of a student essay on the meaning of Veterans Day.
