Meet the Leaders at School
Meet the Leaders at School Westhill High School
Government and Civics students at Westhill High School had the opportunity to participate in a Meet the Leaders at School taping with Stamford Mayor David Martin. Principal Camille Figluizzi opened the program and was presented with a $2,500 donation to further the school’s leadership programs and initiatives. Following the check presentation, the filming of the program commenced with Mayor Martin addressing the audience. Over 100 students were in attendance for the 30 minute taping, which included questions from 10 students regarding issues related to public service and leadership.
“The students here today did a wonderful job and I commend them for asking such perceptive and timely questions,” said Mayor Martin. “Our future is in the hands of these young people and I am confident that they will grow into responsible adults who will be involved in their community and aware of issues facing our local government. I’d like to also thank Cablevision for bringing this program to the students in our community.”
