Veterans Day

Students at Hindley Elementary School Recognize Veterans Day

Optimum Community partnered with Hindley Elementary School to bring a Veterans Day Celebration event to 4th and 5th grade students which included over 35 distinguished veterans. Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and Senator Carlo Leone participated and had the opportunity to address the audience of over 400 students and adults. Principal Rita Ferri and Darien Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Dan Brenner participated as well as Phil Kraft of the Darien VFW who was on hand to receive a $2,500 contribution to the VFW.
