Students At Watertown High School Celebrate Women’s History Month With Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty
In honor of Women’s History Month Optimum Community hosted a special presentation at Watertown High School with Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty and Watertown Public Schools Superintendent Dr. B. Heston Carnemolla. Moderated by Kerry Donovan, the program provided students with the opportunity to engage with these two leaders and ask questions about the role women have played in history and public service.
“It was a pleasure speaking with the students today. Their questions were insightful and dealt with important issues facing women across our nation,” said Congresswoman Esty. “Through our discussion, hopefully the young people here gained greater insight into the significant role women have played throughout the years, as well as some of the obstacles still facing women in the workplace. I would also like to thank Optimum Community for bringing this program to the students in our area.”
