Meet the Leaders at School
Connetquot High School Seniors Participate in a Meet the Leaders at School Taping
Twelfth-grade students at Connetquot High School had the chance to take part in the taping of a Veteran’s Day Edition of Meet the Leaders @ School. The program focused on the importance of recognizing our country’s veterans and allowed students to participate in a Q&A discussion with a panel of veterans, including Islip Town Supervisor and veteran Tom Croci, Connetquout teacher and veteran Kevin Duffy and veterans Patrick Donohue and Joan Furey. Islip Town Councilman John Cochrane spoke at the top of the program and Henry Krukowski from Operation Wounded Warriors was presented with a $5,000 donation from Cablevision.
“Our nation will be forever grateful to our veterans for the tremendous sacrifices made by each of them, and their families, in defense of the many freedoms we cherish,” said Islip Town Supervisor and New York State Senator- Elect Croci. “I congratulate each of the students for their insightful questions and applaud Cablevision for its ‘Meet the Leaders @ School’ program. The students here will now better understand that we all have a responsibility to ensure that no veteran becomes a forgotten hero.”
