Carle Place High School Students Receive Charity Champions Donation For Tuesday’s Children

Optimum Community hosted a Charity Champions check presentation at Carle Place High School during the school’s “Battle of the Classes” fundraising event. Nassau County Legislator Laura Schaefer was in attendance for the ceremony, which preceded the student-driven event to raise money and awareness for the school’s charity, Tuesday’s Children.

Formed in the aftermath of September 11th, Tuesday’s Children has provided services for the children of 9/11 victims, first responders, and military personnel. In addition, they have taken an international approach to bringing together the victims of terrorism from around the world through its Project Common Bond. Tuesday’s Children is one of only a handful of 9/11 charities that is fully operational today. It has evolved to continue to meet the needs of those impacted by the events of 9/11 and terrorism around the world.
