H. Frank Carey High School Students Raise Funds for Heifer International as They Participate in Charity Champions
H. Frank Carey High School held a small presentation at which students were awarded with a $1,000 donation to Heifer International, the charity they chose to be the beneficiary of their participation in Optimum Community’s Charity Champions program. Following the check presentation, a group of students who have been fundraising throughout the year each signed their names to a wall mural of a giant cow, representing Heifer International, in the hallway of the school to bring further awareness to their cause.
Heifer International's mission is to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth by empowering families to turn hunger and poverty into hope and prosperity. Heifer links communities and helps bring them sustainable agriculture and commerce.
