Massapequa High School Students Create a "Catch A Wave" Fundraiser

Assemblyman Joseph Saladino joined Massapequa High School students as Optimum Community presented a check to the Winthrop University Hospital’s Cancer Center for Kids on the students’ behalf. Over 300 students, parents and teachers were in attendance for a concert comprised of student performances.

Students transformed parts of the school to reflect their “Catch A Wave” theme, turning the main hallway into a boardwalk and the gym into a beach. Tables were set up with beach-themed items for purchase, raffles, food and face painting, and all proceeds went to the charity.
