Employee Volunteer Program
Cablevision Employees Volunteer at Mobile Meals in Elizabeth
Cablevision's Volunteer Day Program offers employees an opportunity to make a positive impact in our communities. Recently, team members, Lou Natalini, Cesar Rosado, Teresa Pearyer, Sharice Frazile, and Patti Billard put their energy to work at Mobile Meals in Elizabeth, N.J. When asked what their team name would be, they responded, “No Man is an Island,” explaining that the poem/song resonates with them and expresses what it means to volunteer as a team and give back.
Recently, on a beautiful December day, in the parking lot of Mt. Teman AME Church, the volunteers set up tables to sort canned goods, breads, vegetables and fruits. In addition, they handed out formula and diapers to the ever growing lines of people. At the end of the day the volunteers helped take down the tables and organize the leftover food for the church’s food pantry.
Watching the children smiling going through the line receiving the food, the team members expressed what it meant to hear the families thank them over and over for their efforts. Reflecting on their day, the team members shared that their team spirit was and is ever so strong and truly, no man is an island.
