C-SPAN StudentCam Contest

Elysian Charter School Students Win Third Prize in CSPAN's StudentCam Contest

Optimum Community and C-SPAN hosted an award ceremony to honor three students from Elysian Charter School as the third-prize winners in C-SPAN’s annual StudentCam video competition. The competition required students to create a 5-7 minute documentary related to the theme “The Three Branches and You”. Students Aubrey Beam, Asha Duerden, and Teodora Kanlic were awarded $750 for their video Ocean Obsolescence: Marine Animal and Habitat Conservation that won third place in the contest that received 2,280 entries from 45 different states.
