Smithsonian Channel And Optimum Community Bring Exclusive Screening of "The Hammer of Hank Aaron" To Kean University
In celebration of Black History Month, Smithsonian Channel and Optimum Community partnered to host an exclusive premiere screening of the Smithsonian Channel’s original documentary, The Hammer of Hank Aaron. Following the screening was a Q&A with the film’s Director, Josh Oshinsky, and the Curator of Sports from the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Dr. Damion Thomas.
More than 150 people, including student members of the Kean University’s baseball and softball teams, attended the event, including local Assemblyman and Kean alum Jamel Holley.
