Technology High School Student is Awarded NatGeo Mundo’s Student Explorer Contest Winner

Optimum Community and NatGeo Mundo visited Technology High School in Newark to recognize 11th grader Valeria Angel as the 2016 Student Explorer Contest winner. Students at public high schools in the Bronx and Newark, NJ were invited to apply to win a full scholarship summer travel experience.

Valeria’s entry earned her a 20-day expedition to Australia this summer. Her parents attended the award ceremony where she was celebrated by her peers and administration.
